posted 6 years agoI’m glad you mentioned this! It sounds like you’re referring to the original 1Password extension. That extension is directly connected to and dependent upon the desktop app and that’s why unlocking the app with Touch ID also unlocks the extension in Firefox. 1Password X is an independent app that lives in your browser. Because of this we’re able to bring you new features like improved saving and filling logic and an inline menu providing your Logins to you within the fields you’re filling. As for Touch ID support - We have released a feature capable of this in the 1Password X beta build for Chrome on macOS and are working hard to bring it to Firefox as well. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14973905, 6 years agoIt is flawed. I do not wish to explain why. Despite the flaws, it is the best password manager *currently* available, until Apple improves their first-party offerings in the area, which seems to be happening...

If firefox updated to 66.0.3 this extension is not working. Update to 66.0.4 and it will be fine.
1Password and 1Password X are great.

Just like someone else said: the old 1password extension was marked as legacy and when trying to add this one I keep getting an error "check your connection". After I kept trying different things, I found that if I open the link in another tab I get the message: "Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer." When I try to reload the link I get "The add-on downloaded from this site could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt." How can this happen??! Why would firefox prevent addons.vaultpit.io to ask about installing software? If the reason is a corrupt file that should be the message from the beginning. Most importantly, was this not tested?!?!Developer response
posted 6 years agoThanks for updating your review! It seems like you’ve already learned about the bug in Firefox that prevented the use and installation of Add-Ons, and that it’s since been resolved. I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying 1Password X. 😀
